I Give the Boat a Toss, Part 3 (17C)

Videos of SS Silver Walnut in the Atlantic

In June 2010 I buried my Dad at sea. SS Walnut heads toward Scotland.

While sitting at the edge of Mackerel Cove, after I'd given the wee ship with Dad's ashes a healthy toss into the Atlantic Ocean, I tried to make a few short videos with my old Canon camera.

Admittedly, the videos are not the world's best. But they do mark the day, one I won't forget.

Sail on, Walnut!

I returned to the same cove four years later, took another 1,000 photos! When I start to post them, you'll be the first to know : )

In memory of Doug Harrison, V8809 RCVNR 1941 - 45.

Mackerel Cove is near Crystal Crescent Beach, south of Halifax
